The art of revisited traditions
The art of revisited traditions
Far from the city, the landscapes are rugged. The hills stand out against the sky and the vines are neatly aligned. The vineyards have been part of the lives of the inhabitants of Dardagny for centuries, and life here follows the rhythm of the land.
Driven by a vision of sustainable viticulture,
Domaine Dugerdil Dardagny is committed to present and future generations.
Oenologist Sophie Dugerdil approaches nature with respect, preserving and caring for her land as it faces the challenges of the seasons and the passing of time. This is a welcome prospect for palates seeking new discoveries and lovers of quality wines.
When simplicity rhymes with quality
Three steps and a glance into the estate's cellars are enough to understand this. Authenticity is a core value at Domaine Dugerdil Dardagny.
In keeping with the estate's century-old tradition, Sophie Dugerdil's taste for a job well done is reflected in her mastery of the production process, which is in line with the latest developments in the profession.
A happy marriage of science and creativity takes shape when the oenologist revisits grape varieties and blends, giving classic wines a new lease of life.
The nectar slumbering in the vats and barrels is poised to astonish even the most discerning noses and palates.
The terroir, new generation
The jewel in the crown of the Geneva terroir, the small village of Dardagny is one of the high points of local winemaking, home to many renowned estates. Domaine Dugerdil Dardagny (DDD) is nestled in the heart of the vineyard hills.
Here, the scenery and light change mysteriously with every hairpin bend, and the scents and atmosphere follow the seasons.
Since taking over the estate in 2004,
Sophie Dugerdil has been following the family tradition.
With respect for the land, she has adapted to the modern local market and the varied and increasingly demanding expectations of wine lovers.
One land, a thousand flavors
The variety of its wines reflects the dynamism of Domaine Dugerdil Dardagny. The desire to revisit grape varieties and blends leads the oenologist to create unusual, classic and/or unique wines.
Each harvest is different, each wine is unique. Sophie skillfully orchestrates parameters such as maturation, temperature, and acidity. This art allows the winery to offer its guests a variety of carefully crafted wines with character.
While traditional methods are inevitably present at every stage of production, the challenge of creating and offering surprising vintages remains the spirit of the estate.
