My name is Ernst Hug. I am 51 years young, married to Therese, and together we have four boys. I am originally from the Appenzell region.

Between 1986 and 1989, I trained as a painter. In the years that followed, I worked for various painting companies.

In the spring of 2005, I founded my own company in Gümligen, where I ran the business for the first three years.

As we were later looking for a house that offered space for both our family and the painting business, we found what we were looking for in the beautiful Emmental region in Dürrenroth. After renovating the house in spring 2008, I continued my business at the new location.
