WHO WE ARE

Mathys Carpentry is now in its second generation. The carpentry workshop with its modern machinery is located in Efffingen in the beautiful Fricktal valley. The family business specializes in manufacturing furniture and kitchens according to customer specifications, as well as repair and maintenance work.

Of course, we are also your professional and reliable partner for all other carpentry work.

History

The company was founded in 1981 as a wood shop/carpentry business by H.-R. Mathys as a sole proprietorship. Over time, more and more carpentry work was carried out and the trade in all kinds of wood products declined. The premises were continuously expanded and extended.

In 1996, two permanent carpenters were hired to replace temporary staff.

In 2000, the business passed to the next generation with the change of ownership to Christoph Mathys.

In 2008, the workshop was extended and expanded, the machinery was enlarged, and various adjustments were made.

In 2009, the sole proprietorship was converted into a limited liability company and continued to operate as Schreinerei Mathys.

In 2010, we were able to hire our first apprentice. This was another milestone in the history of our small business.
