Its founder, Alfred Bettems, established the village's first wine business in 1923 under the name "Vieux Clos," which was later changed to "Vieux Coteau" for administrative reasons. He was instrumental in developing bottled wine production in the region.
After his death in 1952, Alfred Bettems left his children, Daniel and Marianne, a legacy and a reputation to safeguard and preserve.
In 2001, Daniel left his family, leaving them with wonderful memories. He remains an example of generosity and simplicity for the third generation.
Féchy welcomes you
Féchy welcomes you: Féchy is one of the most picturesque villages on the coast. Dominating its territory like a fragile old lady, the Romanesque church named Marie watches over its hillsides and winegrowers. Time seems to have left it untouched, apart from a few scratches. Its heart beats in unison with ours; it is the symbol of our village and our spirits.
It offers visitors a breathtaking view of Lake Geneva in all its geographical glory and the Savoie mountains dominated by Mont Blanc.
If you ever happen to pass through this corner of paradise, let yourself be carried away by the gentle charm of the village, its inhabitants, its rich flavors, and its fabulous landscapes.
Its grape varieties
The king of grape varieties, Chasselas covers four-fifths of the appellation. Grown in Féchy, it produces a fruity wine with a beautiful generosity. With a pale yellow color tinged with golden highlights, it reveals subtle aromas of acacia and lime blossom. On the palate, it reveals great finesse and harmony between terroir and fruit.
Appellation d'origine contrôlée
The Féchy appellation d'origine contrôlée brings together 40 winegrowers and winemakers, covering 185 hectares of vineyards located halfway between Lausanne and Geneva.
Through the authenticity and quality of their wines, they are contributing to the revival of this prestigious appellation.
