Flushing is also recommended when new system components are installed or an existing heating system is expanded. The main reason why flushing is recommended is the clogging of individual or all heating circuits, which is noticed by the user due to cold zones or heating circuits. A blockage is caused by a narrowing of the pipe cross-section and leads to a loss of pressure in the pipe. As a result, the feed pump can no longer circulate sufficient water through the individual heating circuits. This means that the small amount of water cools down after just a few meters and the remaining heating surface remains cold.
