Résidences Universitaires Internationales

International University Residences Rothschild and Carlton are buildings managed by the Foundation for International University Housing, located in Pâquis since 1974. The Rothschild residence is a student hotel with 108 rooms, including 38 studios with kitchenettes and full bathrooms, as well as 35 apartments with two single bedrooms sharing a kitchenette and bathroom. The rooms are spread over two towers. On the ground floor, you will find the reception, cafeteria, and a 100-seat conference room. The Rothschild residence also has a 30-seat room for small meetings on the 4th floor.

In 2008, the Foundation acquired the Carlton Hotel, which, after renovation, became the Carlton Residence, offering 69 fully equipped studios. It has been welcoming students since September 15, 2009.Throughout its history, the FRUI has accommodated many students and interns in its residences, not to mention tourists during the summer months. In accordance with its statutes, it has sought to give priority to foreign students, mixing nationalities, faculties, and the various organizations employing interns.

In recent years, the RUI has expanded its clientele to include students from the HEG, hotel schools, music conservatories, etc. Every year, the Foundation undertakes renovations to provide its guests with pleasant living conditions that allow them to enjoy student life without too many worries. Aware of the difficulty of finding accommodation in Geneva, the FRUI is committed, through its foundation board, to pursuing a development policy that will enable it to provide additional housing in the near future. We are happy to welcome many students each year who, during the three years they stay with us, will be able to enjoy their surroundings.
