Patek Philippe Museum Geneva
Philippe Stern's passion for timepieces led to the inauguration in 2001 of a veritable "temple of watchmaking": the Patek Philippe Museum.
Housed in a fully restored Art Deco building in Geneva's Plainpalais district, the museum presents more than five centuries of watchmaking artistry in two sections: the extraordinary antique collection dating back to the 16th century, which includes the first watch ever made, and the Patek Philippe collection since 1839.
The latter reflects more than 170 years of manufacturing the world's finest watches, including the most complicated timepiece ever built, the Calibre 89. This fabulous museum is the logical culmination of a legacy of genius.
