Dr. Dionysios Makris, MD
After obtaining his medical degree in 1999, Dr. Makris completed postgraduate training in psychiatry and psychotherapy for adults and children in Geneva. He obtained his FMH specialist title in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy in 2013.
At the same time, Dr. Makris completed several training courses in the field of autism in England and France.
Dr. Makris was head of the child psychiatry liaison unit at Geneva University Hospitals. There, he worked closely with the somatic medical and nursing teams, providing comprehensive care for patients hospitalized for somatic reasons, including psychological support, in order to provide them with comprehensive care. Dr. Makris provided direct care in all departments of the Children's Hospital, the Maternity Ward, and other departments of the HUG, working with patients and networking with pediatric colleagues and healthcare teams.
