A team of technicians assists the radiologist with technical aspects and performs medical examinations according to protocol. They also assist with therapeutic injections, PRP injections, contrast agent injections, and punctures. Their role is not only practical: they manage the patient's emotional state in order to facilitate their experience and ensure a high-quality medical examination.
Medical secretaries handle the administrative management of files. They are the primary point of contact for patients, prescribing physicians, and radiologists in coordinating medical examinations: setting dates, collecting data, etc. They welcome patients, provide them with information on administrative procedures, and prepare them for their examination with all the tact and support necessary for a successful medical examination.
EQUIPMENT:
MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is one of the most advancedmedical imaging techniques. It allows for a thorough examination of the body and helps detect neurological, cardiac, digestive, gynecological, and osteoarticular problems.
CT scan, dental CT scan, and low-dose CT scan
A scanner allows for a very precise radiological examination of the various anatomical structures of the human body: bones, blood vessels, organs, tissues, etc.During a quick and painless imaging examination, the body is scanned by a beam of X-rays.
Ultrasound, Doppler, and elastography
Ultrasound is a non-invasive examination and one of the most commonly performed medical imaging tests.
Mammography
This is the standard radiographic examination for the screening and diagnosis of breast cancer in women.
Radiography (radiology)
Since its introduction in the medical field, radiography (radiology) has been the basis for diagnosis. It relies on X-rays.
Mineralometry and bone densitometry
Mineralometry is a painless examination that measures bone density and detects the risk of fracture. Mineralometry is mainly recommended for women who have gone through menopause or for patients with certain medical histories or risk factors.
Dental panoramic X-ray
A panoramic dental X-ray is an X-ray of the entire set of teeth.
CT/MRI arthrography, infiltration, and biopsy
In order to examine the structure of a joint, shoulder, knee, elbow, etc. in detail, it is sometimes necessary to perform a special radiological examination:arthrography.
Cardiac imaging
Cardiac imaging is quite complex and involves various techniques: cardiac CT scans to assess calcium scores and coronary arteries, as well as cardiac MRIs at rest or under stress.
We invite you to learn about the various radiological procedures offered by our radiology practice and imaging center on our website: www.medimagesa.ch
