The PEDROJA company was founded in Locarno in 1920 by sculptor Sem Pedroja. It was later taken over by his grandsons Maurilio, Stefano, and Ermanno, who continued and improved the family business, creating a true leader in the construction and funeral sectors.

With his son Othmar, Pedroja specialized mainly in funerary art, increasing the demand for sculptures and hand engravings on funeral monuments thanks to his sculptors and stonemasons specializing in marble and granite.

Today, the company has not limited itself to the processing and sale of natural stone, but over the years has also introduced artificial agglomerates in slabs, synthesized stones, recomposed quartz, and mosaics to keep pace with modern construction innovation.
