TILES - GRANITE - MOSAICS - PARQUET - INSULATION - REPAIRS - PAINTING
Operating since 2012, thanks to its constant commitment and professional integrity, the company stands out in the world of ceramics, flooring, and wall coverings. Robert Trendafilov, the company's manager, from whom the company takes its name, began working in 1998 as a tile setter apprentice and became a federally certified tile setter.
Thanks to his commitment, he opened Trend Piastrelle in 2012, and in 2014, with his specialization in all areas of renovation, the company took the name Ediltrend Piastrelle e Pavimentazione.
We carry out turnkey projects, including bathroom renovations with masonry, painting, and final cleaning.
TILES
Tiles, which are also characterized by their reduced thickness, can come in a variety of geometric shapes: squares, rectangles, hexagons, etc., in various sizes and can be made from different materials (brick, grit, marble, ceramic, concrete, etc.).
The surface abrasion resistance of tiles is measured in PEI (ranging from 0 to 5), which measures the ability of the tile's glaze to withstand foot traffic, the passage of people, furniture, or machinery without losing its original aesthetic characteristics.
The "friction capacity" of a tile, i.e., its resistance to slipping on its surface, is determined by the surface treatment process, which can be polished, bush-hammered, or worked in such a way as to make it not completely smooth.
To obtain more resistant tiles, the mixture must be fired at higher temperatures so that the clay solidifies with a higher molecular density.
Ediltrend also sells tiles and processing materials separately, should you wish to purchase them.
PARQUET
Parquet is a type of flooring made of solid wood of varying thickness or assembled from individual pieces of wood with a minimum thickness of 2.5 mm on a support that can be made of birch plywood or other materials before installation.
In addition to the above-mentioned traditional single-layer solid wood floors, there are also so-called pre-finished multi-layer floors on the market, consisting of a top layer of fine wood, the thickness of which can vary depending on the product.
Commonly used hardwoods are: oak, doussié, wenge, olive, walnut, iroko, teak, merbau, afrormosia, beech, Cabreuva, Panga Panga, and Padouk.
As they are pre-finished in the workshop (and not on site), they lend themselves to special finishes such as coloring with pigments, pickling (i.e., contrasting pigment coloring between the grain and the base of the wood), brushing the grain (which gives a rough effect; it is the opposite of sanding), micro-beveling of the sides of the board (rounded edges rather than sharp ones), hand planing, split edges on the various sides of the board, sawed surface (the surface of the board has saw marks across the grain), heat treatment (left to dry for x time at x temperature, the hardwood changes color, darkening throughout its thickness).
The final treatment can be oil or varnish. Oil finishes (vegetable oils have almost no toxic residues) require constant maintenance and are not water-repellent in the early stages of life (about one year with proper maintenance), so they are prone to stains but give a more natural look.
Varnishes are easier to maintain and there are "natural UV or wax effect" varnishes on the market with less gloss than satin (semi-gloss) varnishes.
Ediltrend also sells parquet flooring and processing materials separately, should you wish to purchase them.
SILICONES
Silicones or polysiloxanes are inorganic polymers based on a silicon-oxygen chain and organic functional groups (R) linked to silicon atoms. The term initially referred to compounds with the generic formula R2Si=O, analogous to ketones.
It was believed that they could be isolated as monomeric compounds, but even after the discovery of their true structure, the name continued to be used, and still is today, to refer to organopolysiloxanes.
Silicone polymers are used for numerous applications, in particular to obtain silicone rubbers, for the production of which they are added to reinforcing silicas, and as a stationary phase for liquid chromatography columns.

External coatings
In construction, wall cladding is the outermost layer applied to the vertical structure of a building to give it adequate resistance to mechanical stress and chemical and atmospheric agents, as well as an aesthetic finish. External coatings serve to give perimeter walls adequate resistance to mechanical stress and aggression from the external environment and weather conditions (bad weather).
Internal cladding
The function of internal cladding is to give wall surfaces a degree of finish and decoration, while also facilitating cleaning operations and ensuring, in particular environments, aseptic conditions and disinfectability.
Interior coatings are subject to very low mechanical stress but can be attacked by chemicals from the use of substances and detergents.
Plaster is the most commonly used covering on brick or concrete walls; it is made with mortars of different compositions and can have various finishes.
There are also special types of plaster with refined surface finishes; among these, brick-pesto plaster, matte stucco, and glossy stucco are of particular interest because they simulate the appearance of other materials.
Insulation
Insulation and waterproofing of swimming pools, kitchens, bathrooms, homes, interiors, and exteriors.
