The birth of Ecopotable
For several years, Demonsant (founded in 1971) has been installing and maintaining water fountains.
Two types of connection, which preserve the potability of the water, were mainly used:

- The "gauge" system: a limiter that regulates the flow of the fountain, with water flowing continuously (24 hours a day).

- The "timer" system: a device that regulates the fountain's operating time, with water flowing from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., for example.

The disadvantage of these systems is their high consumption of drinking water.

Fountains with non-permanent flow encounter potability issues related to water stagnating in the pipes.
Some of these fountains have had to be labeled "non-potable water" or taken out of service.

There was therefore a need for a system that would both save water and preserve its potability.

After numerous tests with different prototypes, we developed ecopotable: a system that preserves the potability of water in fountains without continuous flow.
