Ferrier + Güdel AG

At Obergrundstrasse 42, the well-being of customers has always been a priority. The venerable Frohsinn inn had been serving Lucerne's clientele for over 60 years since 1871, until the founding fathers of today's company, Hans Güdel and Adolf Ferrier, converted the property in the 1930s to meet the needs of car owners. FERRIER, GÜDEL & CO AG grew and employed around 30 people at the time of the property's renovation in 1971-73. Even after the new building was constructed (the former commercial building was no longer able to accommodate the company's modern structures and had to be demolished, including 30 stairwell sections), the building provided accommodation for 40 rental apartments and 50 employees of FERRIER + GÜDEL AG.
 

In 2001, FERRIER + GÜDEL AG transferred the operational part of its vehicle electrical systems, car accessories, and radio/TV business to the DEZAG Group in Zurich, which operates throughout Switzerland, and now focuses on property management. The successor company DEZAG left the GRUNDECK building in the fall of 2007. The property was then extensively renovated and converted and now offers space for a large number of service companies, which offer our new guests a wide range of services.
