The elbe association, a specialist center for life issues, has been running a counseling center since 1973 on behalf of the cantons of Lucerne, Obwalden, and Nidwalden and the three cantonal and national churches. It thus fulfills the cantons' legal obligation to run marriage, family, and pregnancy counseling centers.

Our specialists are psychotherapists with cantonal practice licenses, as well as psychologists and social workers with additional training. They are committed to our mission statement and are bound by confidentiality.

elbe is financed by contributions from the supporting organizations and by cost sharing from those seeking advice. In addition, we rely on donations to enable people who do not have the financial means to seek individual or couples therapy to receive counseling.
