Dr. Lorenzo Franscini
Dr. Franscini graduated in medicine from the University of Zurich in 2004 and obtained his doctorate from the University of Bern in 2005.
After working in surgery and internal medicine, he specialized in ophthalmology at the Jules Gonin University Hospital in Lausanne, where he was appointed head of clinic in 2010.
In 2010, he obtained his diploma from the European Board of Ophthalmology in Paris, achieving the third-best result in Europe. In the same year, he obtained his FMH diploma in ophthalmology.
In 2011, he was an examiner for the federal medical exams at the University of Lausanne.
In 2012, he obtained the FMH title in ophthalmic surgery.
In 2013, he started working as a freelancer, opening a medical practice in association with Dr. L. Artaria and Dr. R. De Peron.
In the surgical field, he mainly deals with cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and oculoplastics. He performs his surgical work at the AVANTI center in Lugano-Pazzallo.
Dr. Franscini is the author of several scientific publications and presentations at international conferences and is fluent in Italian, French, German, and English.
