Liceo Galileo Galilei

The Galileo Galilei High School, a secular institution, was founded in 1994 on the initiative of a group of parents motivated by the desire to create a school that would allow its students to work seriously and profitably in a peaceful and stimulating environment.

It prepares students for the federal scientific, linguistic, and economic high school diploma.

It prepares students for the transition year.

In addition to its purely academic aims, the Galileo Galilei High School pursues other objectives: to enable students to become fully aware of their aspirations, to develop the potential inherent in each child, and to create a strong relationship of trust and collaboration between teachers and students and among the students themselves.

Thanks to the intimate and familiar environment and a limited number of students per class, our school can guarantee students constant individualized assistance even outside normal class hours.

There are also after-school sessions, organized according to the specific needs of the students and held by the regular teachers.

The teachers are a close-knit and competent group who work collegially, ensuring regular contact with parents.

Students have access to a welcoming canteen and can stay at the institute in double or single rooms.

During these 13 years of activity, the pass rate has been 90%.

The Galileo Galilei High School is located a stone's throw from the city center of Lugano and is conveniently served by public transportation.
