Scuole San Benedetto

Il Piccolo Principe elementary school is a non-state elementary school, recognized by law. It offers a complete cycle from first to fifth grade.

The teaching staff consists of lay personnel who meet the requirements of cantonal regulations. The programs, admission and certification criteria, compulsory attendance, school calendar, weekly and daily schedules comply with the regulations in force in municipal elementary schools. At the end of fifth grade, a primary school certificate recognized by the cantonal authorities is issued.

Parents, teachers, and students participate together, each with their own responsibilities and tasks, in discovering life and reality in an atmosphere of friendship and work. Particular attention is paid to the needs of children.

On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, students can eat lunch in the school cafeteria. Assistance is provided by teachers and volunteer parents.

Students arrive at school at 8:30 a.m. The class schedule is as follows:

• morning: 8:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• afternoon: 1:15 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
