From his very first visit to a plantation in Java, Jean-Paul Raffin was captivated by chocolate and fascinated to see all the cocoa trees thousands of miles from home, which inspired him to devote himself to creating chocolates with subtle flavors.
In order to perfect their knowledge of cocoa bean varieties, Marie-Danielle and Jean-Paul Raffin spend their annual vacations visiting cocoa plantations from India to Africa, not to mention Central America. These trips are a source of inspiration, and every day, from dawn to dusk, their minds are occupied with the basic ingredient that is at the origin of their products with their wide variety of flavors.
So passionate is he that Jean-Paul always enjoys sharing his enthusiasm for chocolate by organizing tastings for various public and private associations, and he often devotes some of his time to teaching children about the cocoa bean, the basis of chocolate.
