In 1954, Bernhard Baumberger Sr. founded a landscaping company in Münchenwiler, Bern, with the support of his wife Nelly. Initially a one-man operation, new employees were soon hired.
In 1980, Bernhard Baumberger Jr. also began working in his father's company. During this time, he trained as a certified master gardener at the Oeschberg Horticultural School in Bern.
In 1994, the senior boss handed over the reins to his son. From then on, the company was called Baumberger & Sohn.
In December 2003, the company was certified according to ISO standard 9001.
Since January 1, 2004, the old company has continued to operate as a public limited company with the same employees.
Today, Baumberger Gartenbau employs 14 people. Apprentices have been trained since 1985. There are currently two.
