Planting trees

Those who plant a tree do so with foresight and great care. A partnership for life. Trees are individual beings, as diverse as humans. That is why not every tree is suitable for every location. Conversely, not every person is attracted to the same type of tree. At Kümin Baumpflege, we understand both people and trees, because here two or more enter into what may be a lifelong partnership. Pruning trees

Anyone who prunes a tree must first understand it. Trees react to pruning like humans react to wounds. To prevent scarring or irreparable damage, it is advisable to consult an arborist.Pruning is caring When pruning trees, we take care to preserve their shape. Unless the client requests otherwise, we leave the height as it is. This is because it is in the nature of a tree to grow upwards, but also outwards. As a rule, we carry out maintenance pruning every three to five years. This also includes thinning out the tree canopy. Pruning trees is part of our all-round craft. When you prune a tree professionally, you are also caring for it. We pay attention to the architecture of the tree and identify its weak points. If a tree is not regularly and professionally maintained, there is a risk that it will one day break apart, with individual branches bending or even breaking off. This would pose a safety risk to the environment.

Felling trees

Trees also grow old, become diseased, or are exposed to changing circumstances. Felling a tree is just as much a part of our craft as planting one. We specialize in felling in difficult environments. Felling – challenging for people and the environment With our climbing technique, we can safely fell all types of trees, even in inaccessible locations. Trees in inhabited areas that pose too great a risk of breaking or are dead should be felled as quickly as possible. We distinguish between three types of felling: with a crane, without a crane or lifting platform, and with a helicopter. Crane felling requires heavy cranes or lifting platforms if, for safety reasons, it is no longer possible to climb the tree. We adhere to the basic principle of "safety first." The safety of people and the environment comes first. If a location is inaccessible, i.e., cannot be reached with a crane or lifting platform, we resort to the use of ropes, winches, and pulleys. Only in exceptional situations do we decide to fell trees using a helicopter.
