Heart Point Natural Health Practice TCM
Practice
Since the end of December 2012, work has been underway on the name of the practice. For me, it was like giving birth to a child. Many thoughts were written down, drawn, and the idea kept circling around the heart. Many may wonder why the heart, and perhaps it is clear to many who know me. For me, people and their hearts come first. I want to touch people's hearts, starting from my own heart. This connection then enables healing as a whole.
For me, the dot also stands for "being there, persevering, and developing further." Now the name "Herzpunkt Naturheilpraxis"(Heart Point Natural Health Practice) is at the center for me, and my new practice premises are also at the center.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is probably the best-known treatment method of Chinese medicine in the West. In this method, certain points on the body (acupuncture points) are stimulated with a fine disposable needle. In my practice, I also use ear, skull, laser, and color acupuncture, among other methods.
Cupping
In cupping therapy, a vacuum is created by placing a hollow container on the skin. This procedure has been used in various cultures and medical systems.
Moxibustion, or moxa for short
This is a heat treatment using a moxa cone or moxa cigar. The dried leaves of mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) are used for this. Moxa is applied in a targeted and selective manner, usually on the acupuncture points or where the main pain is located. Large areas of skin above joints or reflex zones of internal organs are treated.
Nutrition according to TCM
We do not live to eat, but we eat to live! (Socrates).
The extensive and proven knowledge of TCM about the different effects of foods enables individually tailored nutritional recommendations – with the aim of bringing the body into a healthy balance. Foods have the same effect on the body and mind as medicinal herbs, only much gentler. They are a wonderfully simple way to do something good for yourself every day.
Western herbs according to TCM
Practically every child is familiar with medicinal herbs. They are so versatile, whether as tea, tincture, spagyric medicine, ointment, compress, steam bath, or even as a spice in our food.
The herbs from our latitudes are very important to me, and when used according to TCM, they are a wonderful supplement.
Shiatsu
Shiatsu translates as "finger pressure." It is a Japanese treatment method with roots in Chinese medicine. According to this Asian empirical knowledge, the human body has energy channels (meridians) along which energy flows. The meridians form a widely branched and interconnected system on the surface and in the depths of the body. These energy pathways are easily accessible to my hands via the surface.
Bach flowers
We use 38 specially prepared (homeopathic-like) flower extracts from wild plants and trees according to Edward Bach. They are individually combined.

Kinesio taping
Kinesio taping is a form of therapy developed in Japan by Dr. Kenzo Kase, a chiropractor. It supports almost the entire spectrum of physiotherapy using a very elastic adhesive tape.
Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a state in which consciousness is altered, lying between wakefulness and sleep. It is a state of heightened concentration on a single thing. Mental abilities are fully present, while physical activities such as heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing are slightly reduced.
