Company history

In September 1984, Hans Widmer, aged 23, founded his small tiling company in his parents' house at St. Bernhardstrasse 16 in Wettingen.

His parents' house was quickly transformed. The basement served as a material storage room and his bedroom as an office, where he was actively supported by his mother Rosmarie.

The following year, the company expanded into customer masonry and hired its first employees.

The growing team carried out complete renovations of kitchens and bathrooms from a single source, which has been appreciated by many customers ever since.

In 2002, we moved into our new premises at Dorfstrasse 57c in Wettingen.

With the move, Rosmarie Widmer retired from active professional life after many years of service and handed over her duties to Mägi Schärer, Hans's partner.

In 2009, we celebrated our 25th anniversary. It was an unforgettable evening with employees, architects, suppliers, friends, and acquaintances.

In 2020, we realized our dream of building our own house. In Neuenhof, the tradition of intertwining private and business life continues.

Since December 2020, our youngest son, Fabian, has been enriching the team and bringing a breath of fresh air to the company. He provides Hans with comprehensive support in his area of responsibility.

Thanks to our versatile commitment, comprehensive consulting, attention to detail, and precise working methods, our company is well established far beyond the canton's borders.
