Bringing body, mind, and soul into harmony is not so easy in our stressful everyday lives.
Our performance is limited by stress, wear and tear, and pain.
With my treatment methods, I activate your self-healing powers.
Fascia techniques
Fascia is a three-dimensional connective tissue system that runs through our body, enveloping every single structure. It envelops muscle fibers, muscle bundles, muscles, nerves, vessels, and organs.
After a period of immobilization or inflammation, fascia can become matted and sticky, losing its ability to glide.
Fascia techniques include myofascial release, FDM (fascial distortion model), and systemic scar therapy according to Beoger.
All methods aim to restore the surrounding fasciae to a state of suppleness and glide, elasticity, and resistance.
Fascial techniques are integrated into the treatment if necessary.
Classic massage
Classic massage involves various manual techniques that use pressure, traction, and stretching to influence the musculoskeletal system (muscles, skin, tendons, bones, and joints). Relaxing the muscles stimulates blood circulation and the entire metabolism, loosens adhesions between the layers of skin, and thus strengthens the immune system.
Classic massage is used to treat disorders of the musculoskeletal system and to prevent such complaints. Massage has a positive effect on blood circulation, respiration, and the digestive system, thereby promoting relaxation. The mere touch of the hand triggers reactions in the body that affect both the local area and the whole body.
Classic massage can also be used in combination with other forms of therapy (trigger point therapy, myofascial techniques, etc.).
Medical massage
This is a collective term that covers various treatment techniques in the field of massage. It means that the massage treatment is tailored to the specific needs of the client.
Depending on the clinical picture, we will work together to develop a treatment plan and select the appropriate massage technique. Combination forms are also possible.
Sports massage
Sports massage is a variation of classic massage. It plays an important role in preparing for training and competition or in restoring performance after physical exertion. The massage techniques are individually tailored to the athlete (stimulation, regeneration, relaxation, injury prevention).
Foot reflexology
Reflexology is a form of treatment that has developed over many years from ancient folk knowledge into a precisely elaborated therapy.
The entire body is reflected in the foot. Stimulating the reflex zones harmonizes organ activity, relaxes the mind, and strengthens the immune system. In addition, the entire organism is purified and tense muscles are loosened.
It is a specific pressure technique that is applied to precisely defined reflex zones on the foot. The impulses generated in the process release tension and strengthen the body's own healing powers.
Manual lymphatic drainage with KEP
Manual lymphatic drainage is a special massage technique that can be used to remove lymphatic congestion in the tissue.
In general, it is a very relaxing, decongesting, and generally pain-relieving therapy. Special, carefully executed, and rhythmic massage techniques stimulate the lymph vessels and lymph nodes and cause the lymph, a protein-rich and sluggish fluid, to flow. The lymphatic system can be understood as a "secondary drainage system" to the venous system, which is connected to the blood circulation. This vascular system is not only responsible for optimal drainage, decongestion, and purification, but also supports the entire immune system of our organism.
MLD has the task of supporting or activating the body's lymphatic system, bypassing disturbed drainage areas and clearing new drainage pathways. In addition, purification and detoxification processes are set in motion.
Indicated for:
- Breast amputations
- Radiation
- Lymph node removal (secondary, i.e., acquired lymphedema)
- Congenital drainage disorders, such as lymph vessels that are too large, too small, or few/none (primary, i.e., congenital lymphedema)
- Venous drainage disorders
Most of the above conditions require long-term therapy.
This treatment method is also effective for:
- Swelling after injuries (traumatic damage)
- Surgery
- General immune deficiency
- Migraine
- Lower leg ulcers (ulcus cruris)
- Constipation
Manual lymphatic drainage comprises
"Complete physicaldecongestion therapy "= CPT, which means:
- Body care
- Exercise
- Manual lymphatic drainage
- Bandaging
CPT consists of two phases. In phase 1, the best possible result is achieved in terms of reducing swelling.
Phase 2 then serves to maintain this result and further improve any fibrosis and sclerosis that may be present.
Lymphatic drainage without bandaging is only half as effective as massage!
Connective tissue massage (according to E. Dicke)
Connective tissue massage refers to the manual manipulation of the body's surface, in particular the skin/subcutaneous tissue, subcutaneous tissue/fascia, and muscles, using mechanical stretching stimuli with the aid of specific pulling, pushing, and stroking techniques.
The therapeutic goal is to achieve a local and general effect. Locally, spasmolysis (cramp relief) in functional disorders is achieved reflexively via vegetative pathways, segmentally with the involvement of motor and sensory pathways of the central nervous system.
The general aim is to achieve vegetative harmonization.
Connective tissue massage can influence deeper tissue structures and even internal organs from the skin and subcutaneous tissue. This usually results in prolonged skin redness (due to the strong stimulation of blood circulation), a sensation of warmth, and a reduction in tension in the deeper tissue layers. This form of therapy is usually very painful at the beginning.
Indicated for:
- Diseases of the musculoskeletal system, such as joint diseases, muscular rheumatism, contractures, scars
- Neurological diseases (Parkinson's, MS, polyneuropathies, migraine, etc.)
- Diseases of the internal organs (lungs, gastrointestinal disorders, liver, kidneys, etc.)
- General circulatory disorders
- Hormonal disorders
