October 6, 2025 | Anonymous userThe Manser family and their team guarantee good quality and know how to cater to all needs and wishes. The restaurant welcomes all guests, from toddlers to grandparents, from athletes to connoisseurs.
To ensure that both young and old feel at home in the new "St. Anton," modern, practical, and traditionally charming—or, as the Appenzellers would say, "hämelige"—elements were combined under one roof during construction. While on the one hand the farmhouse parlor is characterized by old bull's-eye windows, a rustic farmhouse buffet, and alpine cowbells, on the other hand, sophisticated building technology ensures an energy-efficient and pleasant indoor climate. Even the acoustics were given high priority in the new building, with special measures taken to ensure that the ceilings absorb sound and prevent reverberation. This is particularly important in the large dining room, which can accommodate up to 120 guests. Thanks to practical partition walls, this large hall can also be divided into three smaller rooms, offering the possibility of adapting the size of the room to the size of the party. Whether you're enjoying a cool drink after sporting activities, stopping off on a leisurely excursion, enjoying a dignified dinner with your immediate family, or celebrating with your travel or wedding party, the St. Anton restaurant is always the right place to be.
St. Anton is integrated into a diverse network of hiking and biking trails. St. Anton is particularly attractive for athletic visitors and is therefore a popular destination for pedestrians and cyclists of all kinds. In winter, visitors also include skiers, cross-country skiers, and snowshoe hikers.
Nestled on one of the most beautiful viewing terraces in eastern Switzerland, St. Anton offers its visitors a unique panoramic view: from Lake Constance across Thurgau up to the Appenzell region, to the Alpstein area and the Säntis, to the Grisons Alps, to Liechtenstein, Vorarlberg, and southern Germany—in short, the panoramic view stops at no cantonal or national borders.
