Girolamo Maio

The company founder, Girolamo (Gigi) Maio, was born on April 28, 1953, in San Giorgio Morgeto/RC, Italy. He grew up in the world of painting from an early age. He always worked as a painter and helped restore churches in his younger years. In the 1970s, he emigrated to Switzerland and continued to work as a painter.

The sole proprietorship "Malergeschäft Maio" was founded in 1988. In 2000, his son Rocco Maio joined the company.
In 2012, the Maio Malergeschäft company was converted into a public limited company. Today, "Maio Malergeschäft AG" has over 15 employees.
