The Community Psychiatric Center (GPZ) at the University Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the UPD offers comprehensive, local primary care for people with mental illnesses.
The center, which consists of day clinic, inpatient, and outpatient care, sees itself as part of a community-based care system. The GPZ attaches great importance to the social integration and participation of those affected and works closely with their social network. It offers support in coping with everyday life, returning to work or education, and building a stable social environment. The aim is to promote mental stability and prevent relapses.

Die Angebote der Universitätsklinik für Alterspsychiatrie und Psychotherapie richten sich in der Regel an über 65-jährige Menschen mit einer psychiatrischen Problemstellung.
Die Behandlung kann nach einer ersten Abklärung ambulant oder tagesstationär an unserem Standort auf dem Areal des Inselspitals oder stationär auf dem Areal Bolligenstrasse erfolgen.
In Kollaboration mit dem Neurozentrum des Inselspitals betreibt die Universitätsklinik für Alterspsychiatrie und Psychotherapie eine Memory Clinic zur Abklärung und Therapie bei Demenzverdacht oder anderen neuropsychiatrischen/-psychologischen Störungsbildern.
Weitere Angebote für ältere Menschen sind der Konsiliar- und Liaisondienst für Spitäler und Heime sowie die aufsuchende Behandlung durch die mobile Alterspsychiatrie.

Erwachsene 18-65
Das Angebot der Universitätsklinik für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie richtet sich an Menschen im Alter von 18 bis 65 Jahren. Es ist in sechs Schwerpunkte gegliedert, die jeweils über ambulante, tagesstationäre und stationäre Einrichtungen verfügen.
Zusätzlich zur Grundversorgung bietet die Universitätsklinik für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie an ihrem Standort beim Inselspital spezialisierte Versorgungsangebote sowie ein Kriseninterventionszentrum (KIZ) und einen psychiatrischen Notfall.
Für zusatzversicherte Patientinnen und Patienten betreiben die UPD die Privatstation König auf dem Areal Bolligenstrasse.

Die Universitätsklinik für Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrie und Psychotherapie der UPD stellt als führende Institution im Gesundheitswesen des Kantons Bern die ambulante, teilstationäre und stationäre psychiatrische Versorgung sowie den Notfall aller 0-18 jährigen Kinder und Jugendlichen sicher und hat als Universitätsspital zudem einen erweiterten Auftrag in der spezialisierten Versorgung.
