Osteria Pizzosteria San Giorgio is a historic restaurant located in the heart of Riva San Vitale, run byTonino and Valeria, a family of successful restaurateurs, and Chef Matteo, who wanted to create a restaurant that explores the culinary traditions of the region as a gastronomic experience in its deepest sense.

The restaurant specializes in pizza and cuisine based on typical local dishes, simple but tasty recipes made with strictly locally sourced products. Only local producers are used, to guarantee the freshness, authenticity, and quality of the products.

Located in one of the most beautiful squares in Mendrisiotto, near the Riva lido, 500 m from the parking lot and shopping center, with its large outdoor terrace, it is the perfect place for an aperitif, lunch, dinner with friends, or just to come and taste Tonino's famous pizza, known throughout Lugano. Our pizza

We use top-quality soft wheat flour, sourdough, real fior di latte from Agerola, buffalo mozzarella from Caserta, whole tomato sauce from La Torrente, vegetables grown in Ticino, and cheeses from the valleys. These are the secrets of Tonino's special pizza. Available for both lunch and dinner, in addition to classic recipes, the menu includes gluten-free and charcoal-baked specialties.

Our breakfasts

To enjoy an excellent breakfast with fresh pastries (strictly Gabbani production), excellent coffee, and fresh juices, just head to the center of Riva San Vitale, make yourself comfortable under the umbrellas, and enjoy all of Valeria's pampering.

Lunch with us

Whatever you fancy, whether it's a light snack, a dish of the day, a hamburger, a salad, a local specialty, a plate of Ticino cold cuts and cheeses, or a pizza, you will always find a wide selection of typical local dishes, with a menu that changes every week. Our signature dishes are: risotto with Zincarlin cheese, Swiss beef tartare from the Haug butcher's shop in Riva San Vitale, fresh pasta with cheese and pepper, and maltagliati pasta with rabbit ragù.

Our burgers are made with pizza dough, selected Swiss beef from our trusted butcher, and Ticino cheese from the neighboring valleys.

We will be happy to prepare a snack or takeaway lunch for you if you prefer to eat it in your office or during your trip out of town.

Aperitif

You will find a wide selection of Ticino wines from our cellar, as well as prestigious international labels. We prepare excellent cocktails and have a wide selection of beers. All our aperitifs are accompanied by delicious appetizers.

Dining at Pizzosteria with friends or as a couple means being pampered with good service and eating well. In addition to the extensive à la carte menu, we have a large selection of pizzas to satisfy every palate.
