We customize your dream bike for you....
Alois Lang is the owner of Velo Lang and a legendary frame builder. He has been building super-lightweight, custom-made racing bikes since 1958. In 1963, he opened his own shop at Bahnhofstrasse 65 in Romanshorn. The shop has its own design department, sandblasting facility, and paint shop.
The German national team placed the first large order for custom-made racing bikes for the entire team in the early 1970s. He led several of his own cycling teams. He designed over 4,000 custom racing bikes for professionals, amateurs, and hobbyists, including the lightest mountain bike in the early 1980s for Beat Breu, weighing less than 7 kilograms, which even amazed Eddy Merckx during the Tour de France.
Alois Lang holds the title of "Master Framebuilder" from the internationally renowned tube manufacturer TI Reynolds in Birmingham, England, and is one of only ten people worldwide officially authorized to process Reynolds 753 tubes (a molybdenum-manganese alloy with a tube wall thickness of 0.3 mm). Alois Lang is still active today and has supplied customers in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, France, Italy, Holland, the USA, and Australia. To date, over 600 victories have been achieved on LANG racing bikes.
We look forward to your visit.
