About us

eltec swiss handels ag is a traditional company in the field of riveting technology. It was founded as a sole proprietorship on December 8, 1970, by Mr. Max Michel.

In 2005, the legal form was changed, resulting in the creation of eltec swiss GmbH. On May 9, 2011, the current legal form was changed to eltec swiss handels ag.

On September 1, 2018, the company passed into the hands of its new owner, Mr. Michel Portenier, with new business and warehouse premises in Lommiswil.

Milestones

The takeover of the business by the new owner, Mr. Michel Portenier, in September 2018 marked the beginning of a new chapter for the company. We are now a young, goal-oriented, and innovative team.

The first IT system was put into operation and the warehouse system was reorganized. Our products are now color-coded according to material, and all product labels feature the most important product data and item numbers.

In the second half of 2020, we completed our clearly structured and easy-to-navigate online shop and presented it to customers for the first time together with our homepage.

After a great deal of effort and passion, ELTEC SWISS HANDELS AG is now entering a new era with a completely new image. All company documents, such as catalogs and brochures, are subject to our strong corporate identity requirements and have been adapted accordingly.
