HOLISTIC THERAPY
My initial training is as a physical therapist. After that, I continued my education in craniosacral therapy, prenatal and birth process work, somatic experiencing (trauma processing according to Peter Levine—SE), and I am currently training to become an osteopath, learning the craft of osteopathy from the ground up. Since we are more than just our bodies, I sometimes simply lay my hands on people. This has an effect on all levels and can be very healing with the right attitude. I have also studied meditation intensively and offer meditation groups on occasion.
By all levels, I mean soul, mind, and body. We are a soul in a body and have a mind that has access to the soul and the body. That's roughly how I would describe it. This unity is important, but does not have to be addressed in every case. I work with the person in front of me and try to support the life within them as best I can and restore the regulatory capacity in their body. If that succeeds, it doesn't really matter what the method is called.
