Our missions
The Etablissement cantonal d'assurance immobilière et de prévention - ECA JURA - has a threefold mission in our canton to protect the built heritage:
.- Prevent disasters: subsidize installations and preventive measures; enforce fire police provisions; train communal fire inspectors.
- Fighting damage: financing fire defense, including equipment, materials and training for firefighters.
- Insure all buildings in the canton, built and under construction, against damage caused by fire and natural elements through a system of compulsory mutual insurance. The building stock concerned represents almost 37,000 insured buildings, with a total value of over 23 billion francs.
