Zaugg Schlieren AG

Zaugg Emballeur AG was founded on January 1, 1977, by Werner Zaugg. The site of the recently decommissioned gasworks in Schlieren proved to be an ideal location for storing and packaging large, bulky goods.

In 1985, Zaugg Emballeur AG expanded. It purchased the properties it used itself and other properties under building law from the city of Zurich. The generous space available now allowed the management to expand the storage facilities for goods and to establish the "Facility Management" department.

Zaugg Emballeur AG reached another milestone in 1991. On July 1, it founded its Biel branch, based in Brügg. In 1996, the business moved to Biel and changed location again within Biel in 2011. At the same time, the Biel branch was given the new name Werk Biel.

In 1998, the second generation took over the family business. Michael Zaugg, Werner Zaugg's son, took over the management of the company, while Werner Zaugg continues to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Providing the best possible customer service is a key concern for Zaugg Emballeur AG. That is why it established its logistics department in 2007. It has entered into agreements with land, air, and sea transport providers that allow it to offer a complete service from the collection of goods to their delivery at their destination. This is done with the highest quality and at competitive prices.

As the first professional Swiss transport packaging and crate manufacturer, Zaugg Emballeur AG expanded into China in September 2011. After careful evaluation of the location, the management decided on Changzhou, 150 km from Shanghai. Zaugg (Changzhou) Packaging Co. Ltd. in China currently serves mainly Western customers who are looking for professional service and "Swiss quality produced in China."
