Franz Widmer AG has been operating under its current management since 1985. Our team consists of around twelve employees, most of whom are long-standing professionals, and we place great emphasis on training the next generation of professionals. Over the past two decades, we have gained a wealth of experience and are accustomed to working cooperatively with a wide variety of architecture and planning firms, as well as directly with building owners. Our goal is to deliver first-class, high-quality work: in roof construction, facade work, and plumbing. For new buildings, extensions, or renovations of single-family homes, apartment buildings, industrial buildings, and municipal buildings. We can handle any challenge.

ROOFS

We are experts in roofs. Whether historic buildings, gabled, pent or flat roofs: we know our stuff and build with a wide variety of materials – clay, concrete, plastic, slate, sheet metal. Whatever you want and whatever makes sense from a technical point of view. We don't just settle for the outer skin, we also install sub-roofs and add insulation. Where required, we ensure that your building is covered in a storm- and rain-proof manner.

FACADES

This may come as a surprise, but historically, facade construction has always been part of a roofer's job. Roofers are trained for this during their apprenticeship. We are talking here about rear-ventilated facade systems. On the one hand, the facade has a protective function in the traditional sense. On the other hand, it is increasingly playing an important aesthetic role – and not only in modern buildings. There are virtually no limits to the materials that can be used: wood, stone, plastic, sheet metal, natural slate. What do you like?

PLUMBING

Both roofing and facade construction repeatedly involve plumbing work: drainpipes, dormer windows, window sills, window frames, threshold constructions, and lightning protection are examples of this. That is why we have been building up our own construction plumbing department for years, where we employ the appropriate specialist staff. With this independent branch of our business, we can offer a complete range of services on the one hand, and on the other hand, we can also competently carry out autonomous plumbing jobs.
