Treatment care

Trained nursing professionals provide the following services in your home

• Measurement of vital signs (pulse, blood pressure, weight, temperature, respiration)

• Administration of medication, either orally, by injection, or by infusion
• Respiratory therapy measures (oxygen administration, inhalation, suction)
• Care and support for tracheostomy
• Enteral or parenteral administration of nutritional solutions
• Rinsing, cleaning, and caring for wounds of all kinds

Palliative care

Palliative care refers to comprehensive treatment and care for people with incurable, life-threatening, and chronically progressive diseases. The goal of palliative care is to enable these people to enjoy the best possible quality of life. This includes support for their relatives.

One of the basic principles of palliative care is that physical symptoms, such as pain and shortness of breath, are comprehensively treated and alleviated. In addition, psychological, social, and spiritual needs are also taken into account. These can include fears, existential crises, symptoms of depression, and even insurance-related issues.

Palliative care is like a protective cloak that someone gently places around your shoulders.

On behalf of the municipalities of Eich, Hildisrieden, Rain, and Sempach, Spitex Sempach and Surrounding Area organizes meal services for the population. Meal services can be used by people who are temporarily or permanently unable to shop for groceries or cook for themselves due to illness, accident, or convalescence.
