History

SIONIC is a public limited company that has been operating in the Valais and French-speaking Switzerland markets since 1966. Its head office is in Sion. It began by manufacturing emergency lighting and highly specialized electronic devices for Swiss and foreign companies. It has always specialized in the fields of electronics and low-voltage electricity.

A pioneer in photovoltaics in Valais, it carried out its first autonomous installations in mountain huts in 1980 and completed its first grid feed-in installation at Sion airport in 1994.

Structure

SIONIC owns its own premises. An industrial hall with a surface area of 900 m² (600 m² on the ground floor + 300 m² on the first floor) is fully equipped to meet the increasingly specific requirements of its customers.

Divided into four areas, it comprises administrative offices, a technical office, a workshop/warehouse, and a storage area.

Skills

SIONIC trains future electronics engineers in partnership with the Sion vocational school. A team of 10 people provides personalized support for each installation concept: consulting, quotation, manufacturing, commissioning, and maintenance.

The evolution and complexity of electronic equipment require constant training, which is why its employees regularly attend advanced training courses with its supplier partners.
