Rehabilitation, according to the definition given by the World Health Organization (1968), is: "The combined and coordinated use of medical, social, educational, and professional measures to train or retrain the individual to their highest level of functional capacity."

It is in this spirit that Suva designed the Clinique romande de réadaptation. It is located on the outskirts of the city of Sion, capital of Valais, in the immediate vicinity of the hospital site and the Institut Central des Hôpitaux Valaisans. It covers a total area of 34,000 m2 and employs more than 350 people.

The particularly sunny climate, the beauty of the mountains, the proximity of the city, and the various trails on the site allow patients to increase their range of activity in line with their regained abilities.

Suva also has a clinic in German-speaking Switzerland, in Bellikon.
