An Elektra village cooperative faces the same challenges as a regional or supraregional power company. The partially liberalized energy market, smart meters, new consumption models such as ZEV, etc., and preparations for crisis situations (OSTRAL) are just a few examples. Elektra Sissach has recognized these signs of the times. In order to continue pursuing our motto "Be healthy and ready for the future," we have already set appropriate goals and are working hard to achieve them.

All electrical energy and telecommunications signals via fiber optics are distributed in Sissach by one and the same plant, namely Elektra Sissach. The Elektra Sissach village cooperative is therefore an important part of the community, and it is impossible to imagine Sissach without it. With this in mind, we hope that the idea of the village cooperative and, with it, Elektra Sissach will continue to live on for many years to come.

Elektra Sissach operates "sissanet – the fiber optic network for everyone" in Sissach. It is the fastest connection for users of the internet, TV, and landline networks. sissanet also offers leased lines (Dakfibre) at favorable conditions and rents rack space for data redundancy in a secure room (POP).
