The Elim Foundation for Parents and Children offers professional, socio-educational support for parents with children who are going through a challenging phase in their lives. Our goal is to ensure the well-being of children, empower parents, and work together to develop sustainable prospects for families.

As an experienced institution in the field of parent-child support, assisted living, and social-educational family assistance, we support families in an individualized, appreciative, and resource-oriented manner.

24-hour care for parents and children

In our parent-child housing programs, we offer round-the-clock care in a safe, structured environment. Parents are supported in their everyday lives, strengthened in their parenting skills, and assisted in building a stable parent-child relationship.

• Parents who need support in everyday life

Assisted living for parents with children

Assisted living enables families to live independently with professional support. The aim is to promote personal responsibility, everyday skills, and social stability in the long term.

Social-educational family support (outpatient)

Our outpatient family support provides parents with assistance directly in their family environment. Together, we work on parenting issues, everyday structure, conflict resolution, and strengthening family resources.

Locations of the Elim Foundation

The Elim Foundation for Parents and Children operates at several locations in Switzerland:

• Wasen in Emmental

• Wiedlisbach

• Steffisburg – The Steffisburg location offers eight family places with 24-hour care and assisted living for four family systems. In the main building, there are five mother-child places in separate apartments and three places in a shared apartment. External apartments in the surrounding area are available for assisted living.

Our locations offer family-friendly living arrangements, professional care, and a stable environment for parents and children.
