What does Equisaman mean?
Saman means "together" in Icelandic. Equisaman is perfect because it combines my passion for (Icelandic) horses with my approach to my work. I want to be together with the horse, form a community, seek solutions, grow and learn new things, and have a good time. But I also want to work together with the horse owner to achieve the best for the horse and its health.

 

Holistic equine osteopathy according to VPO

To keep a horse healthy, it is extremely important that its body is in balance and that all structures are functioning as intended. To achieve this, the muscles must be able to tense and relax, and the fascial structures must be flexible. The organ system and the nervous system must also be able to function physiologically so that the horse remains healthy and the body can activate its self-healing powers. If this is not the case, metabolic problems, gastrointestinal disorders, coughing, defensive reactions when handled, and abnormalities in gait may occur, among other things.

Osteopathic treatment can support the horse and improve its quality of life. Selina Dörling's visionary equine osteopathy (VPO) is purely manual, working in relationship with the horse and its owner. During treatment, the horse can move biodynamically and thus discover new movement patterns, allowing the nervous system to regulate itself.
