Living with us

The Prix Santé AG nursing home in Uster is a long-term care facility for elderly people that operates 24 hours a day. People requiring care of all levels of severity can be cared for here. We offer our inpatient services without charging a care fee.

Range of services

In our nursing home in Uster, the majority of residents are people whose need for care has reached a level that makes care in a home environment impossible. The main focus of care and support in the nursing home is therefore on people who require 24-hour care and will be staying in the nursing home for the long term. The length of stay depends on the needs of the client. A return to the client's own home is possible at any time if this is desired by the client and nursing care can be guaranteed.

Medical service

You are free to choose your own doctor in our nursing home.

Resident doctor

Prix Santé AG has a cooperation agreement with a registered specialist who, as the home doctor, bears medical responsibility for the nursing home and is available as a specialist resource for the Spitex service.

Family doctor

Residents of the nursing home are free to choose their own family doctor. If a resident does not have a family doctor, medical care is provided by the Prix Santé home doctor.

Emergency doctor

In the event of an acute deterioration in a resident's state of health, a decision must be made on a case-by-case basis as to which doctor to call. Unless otherwise agreed or in the event of an acute life-threatening situation, the family doctor or home doctor is the first point of contact. Doctors are called in the following order

• Family doctor
• Home doctor
• Emergency medical service

External specialists

In our nursing home, you are free to choose your therapist.

Medical therapies

The nursing home calls in the appropriate specialist therapists to carry out medically prescribed therapies, e.g., physical therapy. The selection is made primarily on the basis of the recommendation of the prescribing physician or the personal wishes of the resident. If there is no recommendation or specific request from either party, the therapist with whom a cooperation agreement exists is called in.

The therapies can be carried out both in the nursing home and, if the resident's condition allows, in the therapist's practice.

Hairdressing/pedicure

Whenever possible, visits to the hairdresser, pedicurist, etc. are used as activities and residents are encouraged to make these visits outside the nursing home. If this is not possible or not desired by the resident, Prix Santé AG staff can organize treatment in the nursing home or at home.

 

Trial stay at the Prix Santé nursing home

Moving into a retirement and nursing home is always a complex decision. In addition to psychosocial issues, financial challenges and uncertainties very often arise.

Due to this complex decision-making process, necessary and sensible transitions to assisted living are often unnecessarily delayed or not planned at all. This often leads to untenable living situations for elderly people in their previous homes.

Aware of this situation, Prix Santé offers a "trial living" option that allows people to get to know assisted and cared-for living in independent structures without obligation.

People whose health has changed or deteriorated can experience firsthand the security and quality of life offered by a residential environment without having to immediately say goodbye to their previous living situation.
