More than four generations of the family have followed in each other's footsteps, perpetuating the history of this family-run craft business.

Since 2017, Marie-Hélène has taken over the reins of the company to revitalize it and continue this tradition.

The Buffat butcher's shop has been in Vuarrens since 1921-22. In reality, despite extensive research, it is impossible to find the exact date of its creation. For symbolic reasons, we have therefore opted for the date of birth of its founder.

1921: Creation of the butcher's shop by Gustave Buffat (born July 20, 1897)

1962: Taken over by his son Gilbert Buffat

1982: Transfer of the business to Christian Buffat

2017: For the first time, a daughter, Marie-Hélène, takes over the business.

The butcher shop has always been able to reinvent itself in the face of the events it has gone through.

Expertise and service are our major assets, and our regular customers demonstrate this to us day after day. New customers discover and appreciate this too.

Unfortunately, on July 1, 2024, the store closed due to a lack of customers.
