Toggenburger Druckerei

The company, which was founded in 1929 as Buchdruckerei Wattwil AG (BUWAG) and renamed Toggenburg Medien AG in 2007, reorganized its business areas at the end of 2013: the printing and publishing divisions were merged with the printing division of Appenzeller Medienhaus in Herisau, while the newspapers continued to be published by the existing company. Since April 2015, the Toggenburg printing plant has been an integral part of the newly founded Appenzeller Druckerei AG.

Sales and consulting as well as prepress continue to be based in Wattwil, as proximity to Toggenburg customers is mutually beneficial in these areas. In addition, smaller printed materials, such as funeral stationery, are produced locally using digital printing.

The offset printing division is integrated into Appenzeller Druckerei in Herisau. This constellation means that Toggenburger Druckerei is well positioned to handle all types and sizes of printed matter.
