Founded in 1761, the Bibliothèque publique et scolaire d'Yverdon-les-Bains is the oldest public library in French-speaking Switzerland. It offers a modern collection divided into six sections and a precious historical collection of around 17,000 volumes dating from the 16th to the 19th century. The library provides a reading room with internet access, exhibitions, workshops, and regular conferences.
