Diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the entire nervous system (brain, cerebellum, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles) in children and adolescents.

In particular:

General neuropediatrics:

• Headaches, including migraines
• Developmental disorders or developmental delays, including standardized developmental neuropediatric assessment (developmental and intelligence tests, examination for dyslexia and dyscalculia)
• Cerebral palsy (including therapy options such as botulinum toxin injections) and other
  Movement disorders such as tics, tremors, gait abnormalities, balance disorders, etc.
• ADHD/ADD
• Abnormal head shapes (heads that are too small or too large, craniosynostosis, etc.)
• Abnormal muscle tension or muscle tone
• Muscle weakness
• Neuromuscular disorders
• Infectious and inflammatory diseases of the nervous system
• Dizziness
• Sleep disorders (e.g., night terrors)
• Diagnosis of suspected autism
• Skin and nervous system disorders (neurofibromatosis, tuberous sclerosis, etc.)
• Diseases of the peripheral nerves (e.g., facial nerve palsy) and muscles
• Brain malformations and genetic disorders affecting the nervous system
• Neurodegenerative diseases and metabolic disorders affecting the nervous system, including inpatient assessment of their causes

Epileptology: with the aid of electroencephalography or EEG (= brain wave curve)

• Epilepsy
• Epileptic seizures and affective seizures
• Febrile convulsions
• Symptoms suggestive of epilepsy, such as absence seizures
• Unclear disturbances of consciousness

 

Pediatric neurological emergencies:

Epileptic seizures, acute headaches, acute double vision, acute loss of vision, acute paralysis

Consultation hours: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
