"Check-up"means: examination (Duden).
You should have your health and physical condition checked if you have symptoms (such as chest pressure, shortness of breath, pain, palpitations, diarrhea/constipation, muscle weakness, fatigue, weight gain, numbness in the hands or feet, etc.) or if you want to rule out any undetected disorders.
A check-up is also recommended if you have a family history of certain diseases (such as cardiovascular diseases such as high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, diabetes mellitus, high cholesterol, gastrointestinal tumors, and many more) or if you have unhealthy behaviors that could have health consequences (such as nicotine or excessive alcohol consumption, eating disorders, etc.).
Certain screening tests are also recommended by medical associations for healthy people. We will advise you.
We will advise you on the necessary examinations and health measures (such as eating habits, physical activity, etc.) appropriate to your situation.
Modern medicine offers many methods for checking your state of health and the functioning of your organs.
The basis for the medical assessment is a detailed consultation, followed by a physical examination and supplemented by blood/urine tests, as well as technical examination methods tailored to the symptoms or, if desired, extended screening (such as cardiography/ECG at rest, long-term ECG if necessary, ultrasound, lung function testing, X-ray, Doppler ultrasound of the peripheral vessels, outpatient oxygen measurement during sleep).
If necessary, we will advise you on any necessary examinations by specialists (such as cardiological assessment, gastrointestinal endoscopy, CT/MRI, etc.). We work with experienced specialists in private practices and hospitals and will refer you to them.
We accept your registration by phone (044 451 14 44) or by email (chup.sekr@hin.ch).
