A charming place where the Cassarate River meets Lake Lugano, creating a romantic setting under the shade of three majestic centuries-old plane trees. Here, history merges with the life of the people of Lugano, offering a new culinary interpretation that celebrates the past with a fresh and contemporary vision, using high-quality ingredients preferably sourced from local suppliers. On the banks of the Cassarate River stood the Osteria del Porto, which over the years has earned the title of "Antica" (Ancient). Its centuries-old history dates back to the nineteenth century when it was a landing point for goods from barges. An Osteria, yes, but different: in tones, colors, and signs. A menu proposal between innovation and tradition, with the lake and mountains blending and meeting in the menus of Chef Domenico Rezza. We accompany the dishes with a selection of local and Italian wines, served with care by our dining staff. And then the special occasions, the happy hours, the exclusive terrace for private events. A venue constantly on the move, searching for new proposals, accompanied by smiles and authentic hospitality.

Grotto Monte Creda is located in Villa Luganese, surrounded by greenery at the foot of the «Denti della Vecchia». We offer traditional Ticino cuisine, with homemade dishes and local products. Summer specialties: grill, mushrooms – Winter specialties: wildmeat, saddle of roe deer. Large car park, panoramic terrace, banquet room for events and a playground area for younger customers. Reservation appreciated. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

È meraviglioso poter pranzare in un posto dove sentirsi graditi ospiti e non solo clienti. Il locale è arredato in stile tradizionale ed ha una vista mozzafiato sul lago. Il proprietario è di una gentilezza ed ospitalità unica, come in realtà lo sono anche le persone del posto che frequentano il locale e con cui è facile scambiare un saluto e quattro chiacchiere. Il menù è quello tipico con prodotti genuini e sapori unici: sto ancora sognando il lardo speziato e la ratafia fatte in casa. Buona proposta di vini sfusi locali con possibilità di provare più tipologie compreso il vino di uve Americane ( fragolino), difficilmente reperibile in Italia. Prezzi onesti. Torneremo sicuramente.
