We spent a week there with our children. Enjoyed breakfast and dinner. Nice room with a view towards Eigernordwand. For skiing: Bus stop is near. Also train station (Kleine Scheidegg or Männlichen) just ten minutes walking distance.

Since spring 2016, Sumithiran Kandasamy – known as Mitra – and his wife Sathiyapama, known as Sathia, have been running Ristorante Pizzeria Mamma Lucia. Located in the beautiful Emmental region, the restaurant brings authentic Italian cuisine to this unique part of Switzerland. Mamma Lucia is well known in Rüegsauschachen and the surrounding area for genuine Italian flavours. From crispy pizzas and homemade pasta to freshly prepared seasonal salads, there is something for every taste. The inviting restaurant offers seating for up to 80 guests indoors. During summer, guests can also enjoy the spacious terrace, which provides an additional 60 seats. Whether for a relaxed lunch, a cosy dinner, an apéro or a quick bite in between – Mamma Lucia is always a great choice. For private celebrations such as birthdays, weddings, baptisms or company events, dedicated spaces for groups of up to 25 people are available. Dès qu’on franchit la porte de cette pizzéria à Grolley on se sent très bien accueilli. L’équipe est polie, serviable, enjouée et ça se ressent dans chaque geste. Le service est rapide, efficace et souriant. L’ambiance est vivante et chaleureuse, portée par une musique latino qui donne envie de rester. La pâte à pizza est parfaitement croustillante avec des saveurs généreuses… On sent la passion dans chaque bouchée. Merci !

Wir hatten einen Tisch reserviert für den Abend…alles lief wie am Schnürchen trotz der vielen und zt sicher auch anspruchsvollen Gäste. Das Essen war wunderbar, und wir bewunderten das schnelle, kompetente und immer freundliche Personal, das sich unermüdlich zwischen den Tischen hindurch schlängelte und allen das bestellte Essen schnell servierte… ein grosses GRAZIE an sie!
