Vascular medicine & surgery Dr. Schlunke

With more than 20 years of clinical experience, he has established himself as a reliable and patient-oriented physician specializing in general, vascular, and trauma surgery. His career has taken place in highly dynamic settings, where he has honed the ability to handle critical situations and emergency surgeries calmly and efficiently. Currently, he runs his own private surgery and angiology practice affiliated with two clinics in Canton Ticino, Switzerland, offering scheduled and emergency surgeries, as well as daily vascular and ultrasound diagnostics. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, supervising multidisciplinary teams and contributing to the achievement of prestigious international awards, such as Joint Commission accreditation and the EFQM 5-Star Award. He has performed thousands of surgical procedures, also excelling in teaching in the operating room. His focus on quality control and participation in strategic committees significantly improved the standards of the departments in which he worked, leaving a lasting impact on healthcare management. Guided by a vision aimed at sharing expertise, he devotes a major part of his activity to training young surgeons and paramedical staff (he teaches at the Sociosanitary Professional Center in Lugano). Through his work, he imparts not only advanced technical skills but also core values such as ethics and humanity, which he considers indispensable to excel in medical practice. He has participated in several humanitarian projects in the past and, at least once a year, performs humanitarian missions in third world countries (e.g., Sierra Leone, India). https://jamkhed-surgery-project.com Vascular surgery is that branch of surgery that deals with surgical intervention to resolve or improve the prognosis of diseases affecting the body's blood vessels (Arteries, Veins & Lymphatic Vessels) , using techniques of repair, shunt, replacement and removal. Vascular surgery is a branch of surgery that deals with the vessels of the body: arteries, veins, and the lymphatic system. Diseases and traumas of the blood vessels are treated. It works in close collaboration with angiology and interventional radiology, providing care and treatment of circulation disorders in the legs, upper limbs, neck, and abdomen. When does one see the vascular surgeon? A vascular surgical examination is useful for patients who have already been diagnosed with vascular disease whose only solution is surgery (e.g., narrowing, dilation, or deterioration caused by atherosclerosis, chronic venous insufficiency, aneurysms, malformations, and diabetes). The practice of vascular surgery and vascular imaging has led to the creation of a small sports and leisurewear business that can be consulted at https://ray-play.style
