For over 50 years, Jean-Claude, Rodolphe, and Samuel (who joined the family farm in the early 1990s) have delighted our customers with their expertise in milking, cheesemaking, and aging. Now, the third generation — Romain, Benoît, and Xavier — is taking over to carry on the family tradition on the farm and in the cheese dairy. Craving cheese at 3 a.m.? Unexpected guests? A sudden urge for raclette? Or just a nice piece of cheese (hand-cut, aged, low-fat, tommes...) to go with your meal? Come visit our farm — we're open 24/7! A vending machine is located right in front of the farm, so you can buy our products any time, day or night . Ceci n'est pas un scoop, ils font d'excellents fromages. Par contre nous avons organisé une petite visite au mois de mai avec des enfants lors d'un anniversaire et nous avons pu constater toute la passion qu'ils mettent dans leurs fromages. C'est un un endroit extraordinaire et Sophie a été extrêmement généreuse avec son temps et son énergie pour nous faire découvrir toute l'activité de la fromagerie et la fabrication de leurs produits qui sont de grande qualité.

Laiterie Le Terroir was taken over on 1 February 2019 by Stéphane Robyr, cheese maker and farmer, but has already been in business for 20 years, previously operated by Fabien Vallélian, cheese maker and owner of Laiterie Moderne in Bulle. These 2 friends have a passion for cheese, and Stéphane Robyr and his advisers Mélissa, Vanessa, Loan and Martha are proud to show you the hidden treasures of this dairy. PRODUCTS At Laiterie Le Terroir, we focus on Valais cheese, Raclette PDO from the mountain pastures and dairies, as well as goat's milk and sheep's milk from our regions, not forgetting countless ancillary products such as delicious jams, Antoinette's courgettes, flutes and biscuits, and much more besides. With its Gruyère heritage, the dairy offers a wide range of Gruyère products, including double cream, meringues and various fondues. A visit to France and Italy completes the range. From autumn 2020, the best Valais wine producers will be represented at the Le Terroir dairy, to help you discover the subtleties of VALAISAN WINE.
