The name Böscioro comes from the dialect of the chimney sweep of Vogorno and means wine. At first, it was a secondary activity, but over time, with much passion and dedication, the company grew, increasing both grape and wine production. The cellar has seen steady growth over the years, and in 2023, the baton was passed to son Sandro, still with the help of the whole family. Today, the cellar produces high-quality wines that reflect the commitment and passion of the Böscioro family for viticulture. THE PRIVILEGED POSITION OF CANTINA BÖSCIORO'S VINEYARDS Cantina Böscioro, located in the Ticino region of Italian-speaking Switzerland, owns several parcels of vineyard land distributed throughout the surrounding area, including those located in the Gerra Piano area, where the cellar is located. The geographical location of the region, with its Mediterranean climate and exposure to the sun, offers optimal conditions for grape cultivation and the production of high-quality wines. In particular, the vineyards are located in hilly areas between Gordola and Gudo, where they benefit from excellent sun exposure that allows for high-quality grapes. Part of the vineyards are partially mechanized with small tools, while another part is located in the plains in Quartino, where another grape variety is cultivated. All this contributes to ensuring the excellence of the wines produced by Cantina Böscioro. PRODUCTION OF HIGH-QUALITY WINES AND ATTENTION TO GRAPE SELECTION Cantina Böscioro is a company dedicated to the production of high-quality wines, carefully selecting the grapes grown in its own vineyards. After harvesting, the grapes are brought to the cellar and carefully selected to produce different qualities of wine, including whites, rosés, and reds.
